2nd Tours of the Dragons

Jigdrel Tshering Namcha, IT Officer; Pema Thinley, AFO, KHP; and Thinley Wangchuk, Security officer, CHP participated in the mountain biking race titled “2nd Tours of the Dragons” organized by Bhutan Olympic Committee on 17 September 2011. The race, which was flagged off from Bumthang (2610 m/8560f t) passed over three of highest mountain passes on the east-west highway before ending at Thimphu after covering a distance of 268 km.

15 teams comprising of 45 cyclists participated in the race of which 28 riders managed to complete the very difficult and taxing one-day race. Druk Green’s young IT Officer, Jigdrel Tshering Namcha was one of those 28 riders who completed the race.
