Sonam Wangdi
Chief Engineer, Mangechhu Hydropower Plant

Sonam Wangdi currently heads Mangdechhu Hydropower Plant. Before that, he headed the Operation and Maintenance Circle for Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project Authority. Since his career began in 2004, he was attached to various posts in maintenance and operation of hydropower plants. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical) from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, India, and a Masters in Engineering (Instrumentation Control and Automation) from Edith Cowan University, Australia.
