DGPC Subsidiary DHPL Conducts Mumbai Roadshow to Attract Global Bidders for Dorjilung Hydroelectric Power Project
MUMBAI, India – 29 June 2026: Dorjilung Hydro Power Limited (DHPL), a subsidiary of Druk Green Power Corporation Limited (DGPC), successfully conducted a bidders’ roadshow in Mumbai, India, to engage and attract leading international construction firms for the implementation of the Dorjilung Hydroelectric Power Project (DHPP).
Held at the Taj Santacruz Hotel and organized in partnership with Tata Power Company Limited (TPCL), the roadshow focused on promoting opportunities under the project’s three major civil work packages—Dam, Head Race Tunnel, and Powerhouse Complex. The international tenders for these packages were floated on 13 June 2026.
The DHPL delegation comprised General Managers from the Technical Support Unit, Construction & Implementation Division, Contract and Procurement Division, Design & Engineering Division, and the Environment, Social, Health & Safety Division. The event was also attended by the Chief Executive Officers of Khorlochhu Hydro Power Limited (KHPL), Wangchhu Hydro Power Limited (WHPL), Druk Hydro Energy Limited (DHyE), along with representatives from DGPC.
The roadshow brought together experienced international bidding firms, providing a platform to present the project’s technical scope, implementation strategy, and procurement opportunities. Participants were briefed on the project’s key features and bidding process, followed by an engaging question-and-answer session that generated strong interest and constructive discussions among prospective bidders.
The Mumbai roadshow forms part of DHPL’s efforts to ensure broad international participation and competitive procurement for the successful implementation of the 1,125 MW Dorjilung Hydroelectric Power Project, a strategic initiative that will contribute significantly to Bhutan’s renewable energy development and long-term energy security.
